Labour Doula

Labour Doulas fill an important role in providing non-clinical emotional, physical, and evidence-based informational support to expectant families before, during, and after birth.  Labor Doulas can be found working in private practices, as part of groups or agencies, as well as serving in various community programs.

Take the first step to become a Certified Labour Doula. This eighteen (18) hour workshop meets the first requirement for the CLD program with CAPPA and prepares you to work through the steps for certification. This course is designed to educate and equip anyone who is looking for a successful career as a Labour Doula. Training courses are evidence based, comprehensive, and are designed to appeal to all learning styles.

Postpartum Doula

Postpartum Doulas fill an important role in providing non-clinical emotional, physical, and evidence-based informational support to the new families after the birth of their baby. They support healthy birth recovery, infant care and feeding, assist with household organization and referrals as needed. Postpartum Doulas can be found working in private practices, as part of groups or agencies, as well as serving in various community programs.

Take the first step to become a Certified Postpartum Doula. This eighteen (18) hour workshop meets the first requirement for the CPD program with CAPPA and prepares you to work through the steps for certification. This course is designed to educate and equip anyone who is looking for a successful career as a Postpartum Doula. Training courses are evidence based, comprehensive, and are designed to appeal to all learning styles.

Childbirth Educator

Childbirth Educators work with families preparing for pregnancy and during pregnancy, offering non-biased support, encouragement, and evidence-based information as needed.  A childbirth educator’s primary goal is to equip families with the skills to evaluate all their options.  Educators work in a variety of settings, offering their services as public health educators, hospital/community educators, and in private practices.

Take the first step to become a Certified Childbirth Educator. This eighteen (18) hour workshop meets the first requirement of the CCCE program with CAPPA and prepares you to work through the steps for certification. This course is designed to improve teaching skills, knowledge and perspectives on childbirth for anyone desiring to teach prenatal classes. Training courses are evidence based, comprehensive, and are designed to appeal to all learning styles.

New Parent Educator

New Parent Educators work with families during pregnancy and postprtum, offering non-biased support, encouragement, and evidence-based information as needed.  New Parent Educators work in a variety of settings, offering their services as public health educators, hospital/community educators, and in private practices.

Take the first step to become a New Parent Educator. This eighteen (18) hour workshop meets the first requirement of the CNPE program with CAPPA and prepares you to work through the steps for certification. This course is designed to improve teaching skills, knowledge and perspectives on newborns and postpartum adjustments for anyone desiring to teach classes for new and expectant families. Training courses are evidence based, comprehensive, and are designed to appeal to all learning styles.
